What Does HEICMe Offer To You?
We offer a high quality HEIC to PNG converter, with rapid processing and the ability to save an unlimited number of images. HEIC is a new image format developed by several companies, including Apple, Cannon & Samsung. It seeks to provide high quality images, while taking up less space.
Unfortunately, HEIC doesn't natively work on the web. You might be trying to upload your photos somewhere that doesn't support HEIC, for example. If that's the case, you can use HEICMe to convert HEIC to PNG, and upload the PNG image instead.
A lot of conversion sites will require you to upload your images to their server to process them. We do not do that. When you select your images, we convert them from HEIC to PNG locally in your web browser. Similarly, when you store the end result, they are simply saved from your web browser, they are not downloaded from our servers.
The process your images will go through is as follows. You select your images to convert, which can be as little as 1 and as many as you can fit on your device. Your browser does all the work to convert HEIC to PNG, and once the final images are ready, they are shown to you. From there, you can select which ones you wish to save, or you can save them all at once. Rinse and repeat until you've converted all the images you need to.
We use an open-source library called heic2any to provide our high quality HEIC to PNG conversions. The library itself doesn't just support PNG though, it also supports JPG and GIF. In the future, we may support more output formats.
